Iranian short film in Bangladesh
Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA – Iranian short film ‘The Hose’, directed by Mansour Forouzesh, will be screened at the International Children’s Film Festival, in Bangladesh.
‘The Hose’ is a 15-minute movie narrating the story of punishing a child who is dumb. Produced and directed by Forouzesh in 2014, it stars Sirous Hemmati and Kasra Jourabloo.
The work is experiencing its seventh presence in international events, it was formerly screened at New Directors/New Films Festival in Portugal. It was also nominated for Best Short Film at an International Short Film Festival in India.
Forouzesh was a member of Jury of the Fifth Malta Short Film Festival to judge the entries to the event. He has so far directed five short films and participated in various international festivals in France, Malta, the US, India, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh is an annual event held countrywide, which showcases full length features, shorts, experimental films made for and by children.
Founded in 2008, it is the biggest film festival in Bangladesh and also the only international event for children and young adults of the country.
Sponsored by Bangladesh Association of Children and UNICEF, the festival will be held from 24-30 January 2015.
