When I Killed The Cat explores the depth of perception through Jim, a different kind of thinker and unusual perceiver. It shows the layers present in the human condition, revealing its mysteries and uniqueness. 

Psychological and cognitive characteristics are very present in the visual narrative, living through Jim’s mental circumstances. They show a true and visceral vulnerability that keeps evolving as minutes go by. we get to know a man frightened by his shadows and traumas, still deeply attached to memories. We get to know the cause of his fear too, and his inner voice through an ambiguous mother figure. It all happens fast and progressively when Jim’s friend asks him to take care of her cat. But, is it really just a cat? Is it really just a friend?

A group of Iranian and Afghan refugees are living in a camp in Serbia who are talking about their dreams and perceptions about Europe as a dreamland.

Meanwhile a group of Kurdish families is trying to cross the European border illegally. 

They decide to cross the border themselves because of the overpriced demands of the professional smugglers, they refer to this quest of theirs as the GAME. 

As we follow the life story of Houshang, Masoumeh, Baluch, Kamran and a group of Afghan refugees, Muzaffar and Jafar decide to cross the Serbian-Croatian border into Europe. They start this route in winter and snowy weather!

A FEW KNOTS AWAY

The island where Hashem grew up has been facing various problems for years. Famine, war, and old disputes have caused many people to migrate from the island. 

Haj Habib, one of the elders of the island, has died today. Hashem, the son of Haj Habib, who is one of those who left the island for a better life, came to the island to attend the funeral of his father. 

Hashem’s arrival is not an ordinary one, he has decided to take his father’s body to the port so that he has no affiliation with the island. 

Hashem’s decision is opposed by Hashem’s sister, but she is determined to do so. Eventually, despite the opposition of his sister and Babazar, who is the elder of the island, Hashem takes the body to the sea to go to the port by ship, but he encounters a stormy sea.

THE HOSE

Mr. Nobari is a primary school teacher. He has worked hard to get his students the best grades and results in school. He has used various methods for teaching. But Mr. Nobari’s main method of educating students has been to use corporal punishment. Today, after much study, he has decided to change his teaching method. Shalbaf is one of the students in Nobari class, who is not able to speak normally. Shalbaf usually writes the teachers’ healing questions on a blackboard or shows them with his fingers. Today, Mr. Nobari wants to implement his new method and chooses Shalbaf to do so. Mr. Nobari does his best to make Shalbaf use his tongue to answer Mr. Nobari’s questions instead of using his fingers or writing on the board. Shalbaf does his best, but Mr. Nobari’s teaching method probably does not work either.
